Jim Windigo is a powerful, Traditional Ojibwe medicine man. He has intervened and been credited with saving many people's lives. I have had personal experience and validation in this matter with Jim.

Over time I have come to know and respect his teachings and his example of which I cannot find an equal. He has brought all who have contact with him a sense of purpose and pride in their heritage and the strenght of a person's will and mind.

He has recieved visions from the great Thunder Bird on Mount Mackay (Thunder Bay Ont.) and has been a medicine man and(past) Pow Wow M.C. for most of his eighty odd years.

The painting beside him is one he asked me to paint for him to use as a pictorial aid in teaching Anishnabe people who neither read or understand English, the journey to Spirit World. It is painted with acrylic paint on raw canvas that's been dyed using Dandelion and Sumac flowers.

It is a great gift to be of service to our community and to Jim, a wonderful human being.
